Ee-Been Goh
Ee-Been´s research focus at JBEI is on the biosynthesis of hydrocarbon molecules in bacteria. This effort will explore the use of transcriptomics analysis, and bioinformatics tools to identify novel genes involved in the synthesis of these hydrocarbon molecules.
Charlie Liu
Charlie is a graduate student working on 1) modifying the cell membrane of E. coli to enhance resistance to solvent toxicity, 2) producing several biodiesel candidates in yeast and 3) finding enzymes to saturate the double bonds on some of the lab's biodiesel candidates.
